Cheddar Apple Quesadillas (Printable Version)

Toasted tortillas with cheddar and apple slices make a quick, satisfying snack for any time of day.

# What You'll Need:

→ Quesadilla Filling

01 - 2 whole wheat flour tortillas (8-inch diameter)
02 - 3 ounces sharp cheddar cheese, grated
03 - 1 small tart apple, cored and thinly sliced

# Directions:

01 - Grate the sharp cheddar cheese using a box grater. Core and slice the apple into thin, even wedges.
02 - Lay one whole wheat tortilla flat on a cutting board. Evenly distribute half of the grated cheddar cheese over the surface, followed by the sliced apples. Top with the remaining cheddar cheese, then place the second tortilla on top.
03 - Heat a nonstick skillet over medium heat. Carefully transfer the assembled quesadilla to the skillet and cook for 2–3 minutes, pressing gently with a spatula until the underside is lightly browned.
04 - Flip the quesadilla with a wide spatula and cook an additional 2–3 minutes, until the cheese is fully melted and the outside is golden brown.
05 - Remove from skillet and allow to cool slightly. Using a sharp chef’s knife or pizza cutter, slice into wedges and serve immediately.
